Critiquing A.nnotate.com (:
I really enjoyed using the A.nnotate.com tool because I found it was so much easier to organize my notes, for you can stick them right on the page. It is much more up-to-date than Microsoft Word, but, because I don't relate to change very well, I may have to continue to use Word to organize my research.

3/15/11 Frugality
"Tis easier to suppress the first desire than to satisfy all that follow it."
(1) To me, this quote is saying that desires can quickly become an addiction, making it very hard to stop giving in to said desires. (2) For example, when I was trying to save money to buy my Ipod, I failed the first few times because I would buy a little thing here, a little thing there, and soon I hadn't saved any of that last paycheck. I realized that if my plan was going to succeed, I had to save it all, because I couldn't handle budgeting in order to purchase an Ipod, as I would become "addicted" to my shopping habit. I've heard that for most people, this is true, although there are those frugal few who easily have a hold on their finances. (3) I totally agree with Benjamin Franklin's saying, because I, myself, have found it true many times in my life. If you just say "no" to the first desire, the end result comes much more quickly.

3rd Nine Weeks Reading List
I read 3 books this nine weeks for a total of 6 books.
-Twilight (544 pages)
-Eclipse (640 pages)
-Belle Teal (224 pages)
This book is about a young girl who lives with her mother and grandmother. She has never known her father, and her family is poor. But she still feels blessed because of the love her family shares. As the new school year aproaches, Belle hears that there are some black kids who will be attending. On the first few days of school, Belle watches at parents hold up signs and verbally abuse the children because of their skin color. As the year progresses, Belle is one of the only children who is nice to the black kid in her class, Darryl. Belle learns that skin color really doesn't matter when it comes to being friends. I enjoyed this book because it was intriguing to see the main character mature so much as the story went on.

Give Me Your Eyes(:
Because I want to feel what they feel,
Because I don't want to be selfish anymore,
Because I want to help them,
Because I am called to do so,
I'm going to be a missionary.
Because I care for others,
Because I want to do my Christian duty,
Because I need to have compassion,
Because I am called to do so,
I'm going to be a missionary.

I'm going to be a missionary.
